COMBI 5 German course
On our COMBI 5 course you will learn German during your 25 tuition hours per week together with students who share your interest in the German language and come from every corner of the Earth. This German language course takes place daily, Monday to Friday, in a small group with a maximum of 10 participants. In addition to the group hours, you also have one lesson per day of individual tuition.

The COMBI 5 German as a Foreign Language course suits committed students of all levels of ability. Taking your existing level into account, you will build up your understanding of the German language in a systematic and targeted process, in collaboration with your teachers and fellow students in your small group.
On top of the small group hours, your daily individual tuition gives you further training in German: training designed just for you. Even with all of these scheduled hours, there is still plenty of room in your timetable for you to discover the sights and sounds of Germany's capital.
Scope and content:
Most of our students decide to take their individual class at the start of the day. The content of these one-to-one lessons is as varied as our students are: whether the focus is on exam preparation, improving spontaneous communication skills, working on techniques for job interviews, dealing with specific topics of personal or professional interest or polishing up on Germans grammar rules - we have the teachers with the experience and expertise to help you reach your personal goals.
The block of four tuition hours in your small group are divided into roughly 50% grammar and language systems work and 50% language skills work, covering the four main skills areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing. None of our courses are there to recycle dusty or dry knowledge - you will work with current affairs and up-to-date topics dealing with life in Germany, guaranteeing that your time in the classroom will be lively and interesting.
All of our groups take a test on Fridays in order to review the content and themes of the week's lessons. This helps you to check on your own development (“What have I not quite understood during the week?“) and lets us see exactly how the course is progressing. We can quickly identify which points need to be covered again or where more work might be needed.

Schedule:
The COMBI 5 language course normally starts at 09:00 with your individual lesson, which runs until 09:45. Changes to this schedule are possible, depending on your personal preferences and seasonal factors. From 10:00 until 13:15, you join your small group. The first two tuition hours (90 minutes) concentrate on grammar and language systems and the session after the morning break focus on the communicative use of the language you have learned.
Language requirements:
The COMBI 5 course does not require any previous knowledge of the German language. Beginners can start on the first Monday of any month and students who have previously learned some German can begin on any Monday. You will take our placement test before your first lessons and with your results we can see which group will be best for you. Our levels are designed according to the • Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Taking one of our German language courses enables you to apply for a student's visa.
