How can I book a course?
You can send us your booking by post, fax or online. Bookings made by telephone need to be confirmed in writing. Along with your booking you will also need to send your payment. You can also register through a language travel agent based in your home country. If you need the address of a local language travel agent, we'd be happy to provide you with one.
How soon do I need to book a course?
Because our courses are relatively small, with a maximum of 10 participants, we always recommend that you register at least one month in advance. We don't have an official deadline. If at all possible, we will accept later bookings. The general rule is: first come, first served.
Can I book initially for one or two weeks
and then extend my course?
Yes, but remember that the price for numerous short bookings will work out higher than the price for a single booking covering the same time-period. Because we make long-term plans, there is no guarantee with late bookings that we will be able to provide you with a place on one of our courses, or in the accommodation of your choice. In extreme cases, it might mean a gap between the end of one course and the start of your next course, or switching accommodation.
Will I receive confirmation of my booking?
You will normally receive confirmation of your booking within 24 hours, excluding weekends. If you haven't heard anything from us within two days, get in touch with us as it might mean that your booking has not been received. As soon as your advance payment is on our account, your course and accommodation are guaranteed.
What does a course cost?
Simply add the booking fee and the course price from our price list. If you are also booking accommodation, simply multiply the weekly rate for the accommodation of your choice by the number of weeks your course will last.
Booking fee
+ course price
+ accommodation (if required)
+ airport transfer(s) (if required)
= total price
How can I pay for my course?
You can make the advance payment by bank transfer or in cash at our office. The rest of your payment needs to be made before the start date of your course, and can be made by bank transfer or in cash. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept payment by credit card, debit card, or traveller's cheques. If you need to apply for a student visa to travel to Germany, please have a look at our section on •Visas. If you are booking through a language travel agent, speak to them about your payment options.
Do I need to make an advance payment
to secure my place on a course?
Once your advance payment has been received, your place on a course and your accommodation are guaranteed.
Will you let me know when you have received
my advance payment?
We don't send any confirmation of receipt of your advance payment. Your bank statement is your receipt and proof that the payment has been successful.
Will you send me an invoice before my course starts?
Yes. We confirm all bookings with an invoice.
Is it possible to interrupt the course, e.g. for holidays?
If your course is more than 12 weeks long, you can take a maximum of one week's holiday during the course without any penalty. If your course runs for more than 24 weeks, you can take up to two weeks holiday during the course without any penalty. For every 12 weeks you have the possibility of taking one week's break.
What will it cost me if I cancel my booking?
If you notify us in writing at least ten days before your course is due to start, the cancellation fee is €50. Cancellations later than ten days before the course is due to start will result in a charge of 50% of the total course fees being levied. If we receive no written notification and you simply don't turn up to your course, full course fees will be charged.
If you can't find the answer to a specific question here, why not send us an email?
