
Cooperation with organisations
Since 1990 IH Berlin PROLOG has been officially accredited by the Senate of Berlin as a further education language school and is a member of the following organisations:
International House World Organisation - IHWO
In 2002 PROLOG was accepted as an affiliate of International House World Organisation. The main aims of this affiliation of over 130 language schools from more than 40 countries around the world is to improve the quality of language teaching through co-operation, exchange, and the regular development and training of language teachers.
Fachverband Deutsch als Fremdsprache - FaDaF
(Association of German as a foreign language)
FaDaF is an association representing students, teachers, and institutions in the field of German as a foreign language. The association has set itself the aims of developing the teaching of German and promoting intercultural contact. FaDaF is particularly involved in the field of intercultural understanding. It also seeks to increase the number of foreign students attending German colleges and universities, to represent the concerns of anyone involved in the field of German as a foreign language, to develop further training programmes for teachers and researchers of German as a foreign language.
World Youth Student & Educational Travel Confederation - WYSE
The World Youth Student & Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation was founded in 2006 with the merger of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC).
WYSE is a professional organisation for companies involved with youth travel. It is an open, global, apolitical, and non-denominational organisation with more than 550 members in over 70 countries, mainly language organisations, travel agencies, travel companies, and organisers of training and language travel courses and more
WYSE, whose other members include ALTO (Association of Language Travel Organisations), GWEA (Global Work Experience Association) and IAPA (International Au Pair Association), is the only worldwide association of providers and organisations involved in youth travel and youth tourism. It is WYSE's task to promote youth mobility and to preserve the image of youth travel. The aim of WYSE is to promote training, culture and social tourism amongst young people.
telc - The European Language Certificates
As a leading provider of language testing procedures, telc is a recognised authority in the field of language certificates and test systems in most European countries. telc represents the most comprehensive system of language tests in Europe, offering communication-based examinations in the major European languages including English and French, Italian, Czech, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish – and of course for German, in particular examinations for migrants taking part in integration courses.
International Certificate Conference - ICC
The International Certificate Conference is an international association of organisations involved in adult language education. At the time of writing, the ICC has 28 member organisations in 14 European countries. Through the ICC these organisations co-operate in the fields of professional development, training of exam invigilators and examiners and the development of curricula for language teaching.
TRIALOG - New business languages in Europe
The aim of this project is to assist young adults in Poland, Turkey and Germany in learning Polish, Turkish and German within the framework of vocational training. The young adults all learn the language of one of the partner countries.
CSN - Swedish National Board of Student Aid
CSN is responsible for supporting both native and foreign students. One means of support is financial, through subsidising the purchase of equipment or deserving courses, for example, German courses.
