Teacher Training
Just as every course participant knows, the success of a language course depends heavily on the teacher delivering the course. Empathy, commitment and creativity therefore play a crucial role.
But even more important is a comprehensive, broad and targeted training. The training should both centre on the interests and needs of the target group, as well as allow for the different political and social circumstances of the learners.
Alpadia Berlin is committed to the development of its teachers, and has therefore offered for many years teacher training courses for different target groups.
DaZ – Additional qualification
“German as a second language” (Deutsch als Zweitsprache) is a term used specifically to describe German as a foreign language lessons for those living in Germany whose mother tongue is not German. Since 2005 new regulations have been in place with regard to the language integration of foreign residents living in Germany. The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF)) has stated that teachers of German as a second language must fulfil special criteria in order to provide lessons which are effective and appropriate for the target group.
